Two Residences, Opened as One

The Aurea Grand Residence combines Island Residences 1 and 2 as one large-format stay across the entire upper level. Together, they provide four bedrooms, two living spaces, two indoor kitchens, two full bathrooms, and two additional WCs, with a combined covered terrace running the full width of the building above Golden Beach.

When both terraces are opened together, the outdoor space becomes one continuous 50 m² setting for dining, gathering, and slower time outside. A table for up to eight sits beneath the louvred pergola, with uninterrupted views across Golden Beach, the bay, and Mount Ipsarion beyond.

All four king beds use handcrafted COCO-MAT mattresses from Xanthi. The two residences remain distinct in their internal layout, with separate front doors and separate living spaces, making the arrangement well suited to larger families or groups who want shared time without giving up privacy. A baby cot is available on request.

The Living Space

One Shared Terrace, Two Full Living Spaces

Each residence includes its own open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space, so the combined layout still preserves two separate daily zones. Both kitchens are finished with oak cabinetry, stone worktops, and matte black fittings, and each includes a full-size fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and dedicated washing machine. Solid oak dining tables seat four in each residence. Outside, the two terraces combine into one continuous 50 m² setting when opened together beneath the louvred pergola. A dining table for up to eight sits at the center, with a second seating area at the far end and uninterrupted views across Golden Beach, the bay, and Mount Ipsarion beyond.

The SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

Four Bedrooms, Two Distinct Residence Wings

Across the two residences, the Aurea Grand Residence provides four king bedrooms, each with a solid oak bed frame, handcrafted COCO-MAT mattress, ribbed oak headboard, built-in storage, and air conditioning. In each residence, one bedroom opens directly onto the terrace, while the second sits further back, facing the hillside and olive trees.Each residence includes its own main bathroom and separate WC, reinforcing the privacy of the split layout. The two residences connect only through the shared terrace, while each keeps its own front door and internal living space, making the arrangement especially well suited to larger families or groups travelling together.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is between 15:00 and 21:00. Check-out is by 11:00. If you're arriving outside these hours, let us know in advance and we'll arrange a solution, either a hosted welcome or key-safe access so you're not waiting on the road after a long journey. If your plans change, the same applies: message us and we'll sort it.

What is the cancellation and payment policy?

Do all suites have a kitchen?

Yes. Every suite includes a fully equipped kitchen — either indoors (B-series) or as a private outdoor kitchen (A-series). All kitchens include a hob, full-size fridge-freezer, microwave, Nespresso machine, kettle, cookware, plates, glasses, and cutlery. There are no ovens in any unit.

Is there a washing machine?

Yes. The Sea Studio, Olive Studio and Flow Studio share a washing machine. The Island Residences, each have a dedicated washing machine within the suite. All units have access to an iron, drying rack, and clothesline.

Do all suites have a sea view?

Yes. Every suite at Aurea Mare has an unobstructed sea view from its private terrace, looking out over Golden Beach and the Aegean. Glass balustrades on all terraces maintain a clean, unbroken horizon line.

How large are the terraces?

Terrace sizes range from 12 sqm (A2) to 25 sqm (B1 and B2). When B1+B2 are combined, the connected terrace is 50 sqm. All terraces include outdoor dining furniture and loungers.

Is there parking at Aurea Mare?

Yes. There are six parking spaces directly adjacent to the property, four managed by Aurea Mare and two public spaces across the road. All spaces are uncovered and available on a first-come, first-served basis. A car is recommended on Thassos, and having parking at your door makes day-to-day exploring easy.

Are pets allowed?

No, pets are not permitted at Aurea Mare. This is a deliberate choice, it ensures every suite stays pristine for the next guest and keeps the terraces, shared approaches, and outdoor spaces comfortable for families with young children. We understand this is a dealbreaker for some travellers, and we appreciate you checking before booking.

Is breakfast included?

No, and that's intentional. Every suite has its own fully equipped kitchen (Nespresso machine, hob, fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle, and everything you need), so breakfast happens on your terms: on your terrace, at your pace, with whatever you like. Most guests find that a morning coffee facing the Aegean, without a buffet schedule to keep, is the better version of breakfast.

Do you provide a baby cot?

Yes. A baby cot and a bed safety rail are both available on request at no extra charge, just let us know when you book or before you arrive, and we'll have everything set up in your suite. A high chair is also available.

What is the cancellation and payment policy?

A deposit equal to one night's stay confirms your booking. The remaining balance is due on arrival. Cancellations more than 60 days out are fully refunded; 30–59 days forfeit the deposit only; under 30 days forfeit the deposit and 50% of the remaining balance.
